Dear ALS Network Supporter, I am pleased to welcome Mike Kallhoff, MM, as our new chief operating officer (COO). With more than 20 years of award-winning influential nonprofit leadership, Mike is set to drive results and impact in advancing the mission of the ALS Network and catalyzing our search for effective prevention strategies, treatments, and cures for ALS. Mike joins us after serving as the president and CEO at Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles where his acumen played a pivotal role in transforming the lives of families in need. He also held the position of president and CEO at United Way of the Wine Country and served with distinction. His professional background reflects a deep commitment to meaningful change and advocacy, which will serve the ALS Network and the ALS community well. He brings a wealth of experience with proven results that will help drive progress across the ALS landscape. The ALS Network, bolstered by decades of knowledge and unparalleled expertise, understands the ALS communities in California and Hawaii like no one else.
