WHY I WALK 

Dear Friends and Family, 

As the days get shorter and colder, we are touched by the warmth you show us year after year with your love and generosity supporting Fumi-chan's Girls. Last year, we raised an AMAZING $7,006.17 in memory of our Mommy, Fumiko, so once again, thank you very much! 

After 3 years of virtual walks, we were super excited to finally gather in-person for the Walk to Cure ALS! It was an incredibly special day to see thousands of people come together for the same cause of fighting this debilitating disease.

As each of us go about our daily lives, we often find ourselves thinking, if Mommy was here, she could see her oldest granddaughter, Fumie start middle school (where did the time go?) or see how much Fumie and Marie love to read just like her. Or attend her grandfurs, Carrie & Bette’s 5th Gotcha Day party (leave it to Junko to throw a party for her doggies hehe) or spend time with my fur kids; Cooper, who is happy and rambunctious and Mia, who is sweet and serious. Although she’s not physically here with us anymore, she is always watching over us and forever in all our hearts! 

We will participate in the Walk & Roll to Cure ALS for the 14th year, on December 8, 2024 at Dignity Health Sports Park (new location)! Our goal remains at $6,000. We hope we can count on you once again this year! We know we say it every time, but from the bottom of our hearts, we truly believe your donation makes all the difference. For such a small team, we are proud we can raise so much money with your love and support!
