WHY I WALK
I walk in memory of my husband, Richard Econn. As I walked with Richard on his journey of searching for a cure for the disease, I witnessed the devastation of ALS progressively paralyzing his body and locking out his communication with his beloved family.
The past few years have brought incredible advancements in ALS research, expanded access to care for people living with ALS, and enabled legislation that impacts the quality of life of people with ALS and their families. We can't stop now! It is only together that we will find treatments and cures for ALS!
