WHY I WALK
Carlos M. Gonzales is fighting a battle that nobody wants to witness their loved one endure.
Carlos is fighting ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) also known as Lou Gehrig Disease. ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.
Although his symptoms have progressed very quickly over the past year, that has not changed his unwavering faith and his spirit to believe there is hope for a cure.
We walk to raise awareness and money for on going research for patients and families fighting ALS, as well as future patients with ALS.
No words can express my immense gratitude for all the love and support you each provide for Carlos and our family.
Carlos is not alone in this fight.
We stand beside him every step of the way.
