2024 Inland Empire Walk & Roll to Cure ALS

ChArLeS Challenge

We have this special friend...

Charles Roedell, and his wife Marcia Rhodes, have been a cherished part of the Hesperia Unified School District (HUSD) family for many years. Even after retiring from the district, they continue to support our scholars as guest teachers. Simply stated, they are family.

Our friend and colleague, Charles, has been diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. There is no cure for ALS, but there are treatments that can help manage symptoms and slow the progression of the disease. Although this is sad news, Charles has a strong spirit!  He continues to be the kind, funny, bright, and dedicated team player, who takes great joy in working with his peers and helping all children. We can confidently say Charles has positively impacted thousands and thousands of students and families!

A world without ALS can't happen without people like you.  YOU have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the fight against ALS!  Your donation will help advance important research to improve the lives of people, like Charles. Let's all give a Buck for Chuck because no one fights alone!

The Roedell family appreciates your continued support and friendship.  As they face this season with courage and grace, they are finding strength and encouragement from your support and love.  Thank you!!

Together We're Better!
