Welcome to My LA Marathon Donation Page!
Thank you for visiting my page, this cause is extremely important to me.
My father was diagnosed with ALS in February of 2021 and passed away in February of 2022 after a year of fighting this disease. He taught me how to hold my head high even through the hardest of times and truly was the strongest person I knew. I am running this race for him, and for everyone who is currently struggling with ALS or watching a loved one struggle with ALS. This donation helps to keep cutting-edge research projects funded and ensures people living with ALS that they are getting the proper care and support.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neurodegenerative disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone. A person with ALS becomes physically locked-in as the disease progressively paralyzes the body.
Please consider sponsoring me. With your help, ALS Network will be able to make a difference in the lives of people affected by this disease today, and those who will be diagnosed in the future. Click or tap on DONATE to make a donation.
The past few years have brought incredible advancements in ALS research, expanded access to care for people living with ALS, and enabled legislation that impacts the quality of life of people with ALS and their families. We can't stop now! It is only together that we will defeat ALS!
(p.s. We need more difference makers like you in this world to make it a better place. Please pass the page along to anyone else who is as awesome as you are!)
