Hardy Jones lived his life to the fullest with a positive spirit, embodying his motto "Today is a great day", until his last breath. 

An accomplished orthopedic surgeon and artist, Hardy was a devoted and loving husband to Jane, his wife of nearly 50 years, father to his two children Katie and Bryan and their spouses, and grandparent, friend, and neighbor. Hardy's joy for life and kindness to others was contagious and is the legacy that lives on in everyone who knew him.

Hardy was diagnosed with ALS in 2015 and passed away in December 2016, just months after his family and friends rode for the first time as Team Hardy at the 2016 Napa Ride to Defeat ALS (see photo of Hardy with wife Jane and children Katie and Bryan, September 2016).

We ride in honor of Hardy and to raise awareness and money to defeat ALS - and to bring the spirit of "Today's a great day" into all we do.
