About The Ride and Walk
The 2024 Napa Valley Ride, Walk & Roll to Cure ALS is a one-day community gathering designed to appeal to every level of cyclist, walker, roller, volunteer and supporter of our organization. We offer a 90-mile route*, a 63-mile "challenge" route, a 62-mile lite route, 47-mile route, a 28-mile route, a 9-mile route, and 1.2 mile accessible walk or roll to accommodate all levels.
Every participant can count on support from start to finish. Upon completing your ride or walk, you will be welcomed back by cheering crowds and finish line festivities that include live music, a hot lunch barbecue buffet, ice cream and smoothies, a beer and wine garden, complimentary massage, a kids' zone, inspiring speeches, a raffle chock full of valuable prizes, and much more.
*Recently changed from 100-mile route due to permitting issues.

Registration Fee Schedule
With a few notable exceptions (see below), each participant will pay a registration fee to secure their place in the 2024 Napa Valley Ride, Walk & Roll to Cure ALS. This registration fee helps to pay for the expenses incurred to participate in the event (personal webpage set up, food and support on ride day, permitting of routes, etc.).

Persons with ALS and Caregiver:
We are proud to offer people living with ALS and their caregiver a complimentary registration to the 2024 Napa Valley Ride, Walk & Roll to Cure ALS. Please e-mail a staff partner (ride@alsnetwork.org) for more information.
Fundraising Minimum
Proceeds from the 2024 Napa Valley Ride, Walk & Roll to Cure ALS will provide critical funding for the ALS Network's interdependent mission priorities related to essential care services, important public policy initiatives, and cutting-edge research.
All riders 18 and older are encouraged to raise a minimum of $150 in donations, in addition to their registration fee, by the day of the event (September 14, 2024).
Fundraising for ALS Network through the Napa Valley Ride, Walk & Roll to cure ALS is an important and direct way of supporting our vital mission. And since we are dependent largely upon philanthropy to advance this mission, the more we raise, the more we can accomplish. Moreover, with each person you ask for support you are spreading important awareness about this devastating neurogenerative disease.

About Napa Valley Ride Event Day
Location & Parking
The 2024 Napa Valley Ride, Walk & Roll to Cure ALS will start and finish at Justin-Siena High School (4026 Maher St, Napa, CA 94558) in the beautiful Napa Valley. Parking at Justin-Siena will be free and on a first come, first serve basis with parking attendants on duty. On event day, enter from the southern driveway entrance off Maher (follow event parking signage), NOT through the arch in the northernmost driveway entrance. We will have access to multiple parking lots on site, and overflow street parking is free anywhere in the surrounding neighborhood.
Check In & Registration
Everyone must check-in upon arrival. Once you’ve checked-in, breakfast foods including coffee, bagels and fresh fruit will be available for all participants.

We will open the courses based on the times listed above and will announce when it’s time for each route to begin. Please do not begin before the appointed times as we will not have all of our rest stops or SAG support in place. View all route details here.
On the Route
When you check-in, you will get your turn-by-turn sheets for the ride. The route will be marked, but you are responsible for navigating your route. Pay attention to the roads, directions, and cue sheets. Volunteer SAG support vehicles will be patrolling each route throughout the day. If you need assistance, give the standard "thumbs down" signal to indicate you need support.
If you need to contact us directly while you're on the route, an emergency hotline number will be shared as we get closer to Ride Day and will be listed on turn-by-turn sheets.
If there is a medical emergency, call 911. If you're not sure if you should call 911...CALL 911.
For other issues or concerns, please call the number on the cue sheet.
Rest Stops
Five Rest Stops are located throughout the routes. Each stop has porta-potties, water, snacks, and other goodies to help you refuel and re-energize for the next portion of your ride. Don’t forget to thank the incredible volunteers who staff each Rest Stop!

Route Signage
Each route will be marked with roadside signs. These signs will be at all the intersections, turns, and especially to help at any tricky navigation sites. Wherever possible, we will augment these signs with additional markings and, if possible, a volunteer to point the way. Please be sure to consult your cue sheet, in addition to the signage, to keep you on course.
Mechanical Support
Bike Mechanics will be set up at the Start Line area and at a few Rest Stops. Our volunteer mechanics can make simple adjustments, quick bike checks and fix flats. If your bike needs more serious work, please visit a bike shop prior to Ride Day.
Weather
The 2024 Napa Valley Ride, Walk & Roll to Cure ALS will go on, rain or shine! Please check the local forecast before Event Day and we will do our best to keep all participants informed.
ALS Network reserves the right to alter the courses or start times in the case of weather conditions.

Required:
- *Helmet - Helmets are REQUIRED for ALL cyclists.
- *ID - You’ll need it to check in (and for beer and wine if you’re 21+)
- *Cash and/or a credit card - beer and wine will be available for purchase at the Finish Line

- Toolkit
- Spare tubes and/or a patch kit, tire irons
- CO2 or mini-pump
- Sunscreen and lip balm
